Our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Copyright Policy, in plain language.
Effective date: August 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Plushboard collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. Plushboard is currently in a limited beta, and this policy describes exactly what the app does today.
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and password (or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, we don't see or store your password). We also collect your birthday during onboarding, solely to confirm you're 13 or older. Plushboard is not intended for children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for anyone younger.
Profile information
Display name, username, bio, country (never a precise location), profile photo, and cover photo. All of this is optional and set by you in Edit Profile.
Content you create
Posts, photos, captions, comments, direct messages, your plush collection and wishlist (including any private notes, which are visible only to you), for-sale listings, catalog photo submissions, reports you file, and feedback you send us.
Automatically collected information
Our backend provider, Supabase, records standard technical data needed to operate the service (like sign-in timestamps) as part of authentication. Plushboard itself does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Plushboard is built on Supabase, which provides our database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf under its own security and privacy practices. We don't share your information with any other third party, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising networks.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your profile and cascades to everything tied to it: your posts, comments, messages, collection, and submissions. Photos you'd previously uploaded may briefly remain in storage as orphaned files before routine cleanup, but are no longer linked to any account or visible anywhere in the app.
We use industry-standard practices, including row-level database access controls and encrypted connections, to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately for what Plushboard collects.
Plushboard is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and let active users know.

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Plushboard governing your use of the app. By creating an account or using Plushboard, you agree to these terms. Plushboard is currently in a limited beta, and these terms describe exactly what the app does today.
You must be 13 or older to use Plushboard. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password secure. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.
You keep ownership of the photos, posts, comments, and other content you share on Plushboard. By posting content, you give Plushboard a license to display, store, and distribute it within the app, for the purpose of operating the service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where it has been shared with other collectors in a way that reasonably continues to exist, like a comment on someone else's post.
You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share. See our Copyright Policy for how we handle catalog photo contributions specifically.
Plushboard is a place for real plush collectors to catalog, share, and discover plush toys. See our Content and Community Guidelines for the full rules on what is and is not allowed. Violating these terms or our guidelines may result in content removal, account restrictions, or termination.
Plushboard lets collectors list items for sale and message each other about them. Plushboard is not a party to any transaction between collectors, does not process payments, and does not guarantee the condition, authenticity, or delivery of any item. Any purchase or sale you make through connections on Plushboard is solely between you and the other collector, at your own risk.
Plushboard Premium is currently free for all users during the beta period, with no payment required. If Plushboard introduces real paid subscriptions in the future, updated terms covering billing, renewal, and cancellation will be presented before any charge occurs.
Plushboard's product catalog is built from public research and photos contributed by real collectors. It is provided for reference and collecting purposes. Plushboard is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any toy manufacturer or brand referenced in the catalog. See our Copyright Policy for details.
Plushboard is provided as is, during an active beta period, without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be removed as the app develops. Price estimates, availability information, and other catalog data are provided for general reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate or current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plushboard is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including transactions between collectors or reliance on catalog information.
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and let active users know.
Questions about these terms? Reach out at contact@plushboard.app or through Send Feedback in the app.

Plushboard exists for real plush collectors to catalog their collections, share what they love, and connect with other collectors. These guidelines explain what belongs on Plushboard and what does not, so it stays a genuinely good place for the hobby.
Plushboard's catalog photos come directly from real collectors, not from manufacturers. When you contribute a photo, it should be a real, unedited photo of the actual item, either one you took yourself or one you have permission to submit on someone else's behalf using the photo credit option. Submissions are reviewed before they become the catalog image for a product. See our Copyright Policy for more on how this works.
If you list an item for sale, describe its condition honestly and follow through on transactions you agree to. Do not use Plushboard to advertise counterfeit items or items you do not actually have.
You can report a post, comment, or profile that violates these guidelines directly from the app. Our team reviews every report. Depending on what we find, we may remove content, restrict an account's features, or in serious or repeated cases, permanently remove an account from Plushboard.
You can also block another collector at any time, which hides your profile and content from them and theirs from you.
If these guidelines change in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and let active users know.
Questions about these guidelines? Reach out at contact@plushboard.app or through Send Feedback in the app.

This policy explains where Plushboard's catalog photos actually come from, how we handle permission and ownership, and what to do if you believe your work is being used without your consent. We take this seriously and want it to be completely clear.
The plush photos shown in Plushboard's catalog are contributed by real collectors, photographing the physical items they actually own. They are not official manufacturer photography, not licensed marketing images, and not pulled from a brand's own store or website. Where a product does not yet have a community photo, Plushboard shows a plain placeholder rather than an unauthorized image, so nothing in the catalog is ever presented as official product photography.
Before a photo can be submitted to the catalog, the contributor must affirmatively confirm two things: that they understand the photo may be edited or reformatted by Plushboard for consistency, and that they either took the photo themselves or have permission from whoever did to submit it. Plushboard's use of a catalog photo is based directly on that confirmation from the person submitting it.
If a contributor is submitting a photo on someone else's behalf, for example a friend sent them the picture but does not want to go through the submission flow themselves, Plushboard supports crediting that person as the actual photographer. That credit is a display attribution only. It does not require anything from the credited person and does not notify them, but it exists specifically so photo credit goes to whoever really took the picture.
Every approved catalog photo is reviewed by Plushboard staff before it becomes the live image for a product, and Plushboard removes a photo at any time if a submission turns out not to have had real permission behind it.
Plushboard is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to Sanrio, San-X, Jellycat, Webkinz, Squishmallows, Build-A-Bear, or any other manufacturer or brand referenced in the catalog. Brand and character names appear in the catalog only to accurately identify and describe real products, the same way any secondhand marketplace, fan community, or reference guide would name what it is describing. Naming a product accurately is not a claim of partnership with the company that makes it.
Plushboard also does not display official brand logos or trademarked artwork without confirmed permission from the rights holder. Brands are represented in the app with plain text and simple, original designs instead.
Outside the catalog, everything you post to your own profile, like collection photos and shelf updates, is your own content. You keep ownership of it, and posting it to Plushboard means you are representing that you have the right to share it, the same standard that applies to catalog contributions.
If you believe a photo on Plushboard, whether in the catalog or on someone's own post, uses your work without your permission, please contact us at contact@plushboard.app with the following:
We review every report like this and remove content that turns out not to have had real permission behind it. Accounts that repeatedly submit content without the rights to do so may lose catalog contribution access or have their account restricted.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and let active users know.

Plushboard has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page describes our standards, how to report a concern, and how we respond, in compliance with applicable child safety laws.
Plushboard prohibits any content, behavior, or account activity that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any attempt to use Plushboard to contact or solicit a minor. This applies to every part of the app, including posts, comments, profiles, direct messages, and catalog contributions. Violating content is removed and the responsible account is permanently banned the moment we become aware of it, with no exceptions for context or intent.
Plushboard is not intended for children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for anyone younger (see our Privacy Policy). An account found to belong to a child under 13, or being used to target or endanger a minor, is removed on discovery.
Any collector can report a profile, post, or comment directly in the app — open the profile or content in question and use the Report option, or reach us directly and urgently at contact@plushboard.app for anything involving a child's safety. Reports are never visible to the account being reported, and you do not need an account to email us. If what you're reporting is an immediate, real-world threat to a child's safety, please also contact local law enforcement or, in the United States, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org or 1-800-843-5678.
Every report is reviewed by a real member of our staff, not an automated system alone. When we find CSAE, we remove the content and permanently ban the account immediately. As required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), we report apparent CSAM to the NCMEC CyberTipline and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations, including preserving relevant account information when legally required to do so.
Our designated point of contact for questions about these standards and our CSAM prevention practices is reachable at contact@plushboard.app.
If these standards change in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above.
